Cone Crusher Mantle
The mantle is a key wear component in a cone crusher, essential to the crushing process in mining, quarrying, and aggregate production. It is a movable conical liner that sits atop the main shaft and works in conjunction with the concave (bowl liner) to crush rock or ore materials.
Function:
During operation, the mantle gyrates eccentrically inside the concave. As the mantle moves closer to the concave, the material is compressed and crushed into smaller pieces. This process continues until the desired size is achieved, and the crushed material exits through the bottom of the crusher.
Key Features:
Made of manganese steel or other high-wear-resistant alloys for durability
Designed to withstand high impact and abrasion
Available in various profiles (standard, medium, coarse) to match specific crushing applications
Replaceable part – routinely changed to maintain optimal performance and reduce downtime
